Have A Heart

helps families with special needs realize the dream of homeownership by providing them with affordable housing. This is made possible through the generous contributions from individuals, local businesses, builders, subcontractors, the Association of REALTORS® and its Affiliates.

We are always looking for new community partners, project sponsors, and charitable contributions. You can donate funds, products and services, and donated or discounted building lot opportunities. Remember, cash and land donations are tax deductible!

We urge you to take part in helping house our Utah families.

As we begin the annual election for our board of directors, we want to take a moment to emphasize just how crucial your participation is.

Our board members play a pivotal role in shaping the future of NWAOR. They guide our strategic decisions, champion our mission, and ensure that our community thrives. By casting your vote, you’re not only exercising your right but also actively contributing to the direction we take.

Here’s why your vote matters:

  1. Representation: The board represents YOU. Your voice matters, and electing the right individuals ensures that your interests are heard and considered.
  2. Expertise: Our candidates bring diverse skills and backgrounds to the table. By voting, you help assemble a well-rounded team capable of tackling the challenges ahead.
  3. Accountability: Board members are accountable to you—the members. Your vote holds them responsible for their decisions and actions.

How can you participate?

  1. Mark Your Calendar: The election begins at 9am on Monday, September 15th and will end at 9am on Monday, September 22nd. Make sure you’re available to cast your vote through the MLS.
  2. Learn About the Candidates: Take a moment to read about each candidate. Their bios are also available on our website.
  3. Spread the Word: Encourage fellow members to participate by sharing this email.

Remember, every vote counts. Let’s make this year’s election the most engaged and impactful one yet!

'Have A Heart Home' Program

The Have A Heart project began in 1998 as a community service project from the Northern Wasatch Association of REALTORS®. The Have A Heart project began with refurbishing homes and selling them at a substantial discount to special needs families.

The Northern Wasatch Home Builders Association joined us in our journey soon after and helped take our project to a new level. With their help, we have been able to build new construction homes in Davis and Weber counties every year since. Our new homes are still discounted substantially; this is made possible by our builders and subcontractors that donate their supplies, services and labor hours. The REALTORS® and Affiliates further help to make our homes more affordable by hosting fundraisers throughout the year, and by collecting donations from individuals and local business; all funds raised go directly to the Have A Heart homes.

Thank You to our Major RPAC Sponsors!
