Thank you for considering my candidacy for a Director position on the NWAOR Board of Directors. With 35 years of dedicated service as a full-time Realtor and as a longstanding member of our local board, I bring a deep commitment to our profession and association.
My journey with NWAOR has been marked by active participation on numerous committees, including Member Services, Member Recognition, MLS, and Technology. Although these committees have been phased out over the years, my track record demonstrates my ability to adapt and contribute effectively. Currently, I serve on the UAR Professional Standards committee and have been involved with several community non-profit organizations, further underscoring my commitment to service.
In today’s climate, there is a growing perception that MLSs and Board Associations may not provide sufficient value to Realtors. I firmly believe that NWAOR is an exception, offering real and significant value to its members. However, this value is not always communicated effectively. As a Director, my goal is to enhance our communication efforts to ensure every member understands and appreciates the benefits we provide. Additionally, I would like to foster a culture of inclusivity within our association, ensuring that every agent feels valued and supported.
On a personal note, my wife Valerie and I have been happily married for 36 years. We are proud parents of three and grandparents to eight wonderful grandchildren, with a ninth on the way this November. In my spare time, I enjoy playing pickleball, exercising, gardening, and traveling.
